For the first time ever, Manchester’s legendary Suffragette City event will be broadcast globally, thanks to an exclusive livestream, produced by Laura Graham.

MainRoom will capture the energy, music, and creativity that has made Suffragette City an unmissable event for local clubbers, offering a real-time window into the heart of the city's authentic and thriving club culture.

Headlined by BBC 6 Music’s DJ Afrodeutsche, Suffragette City’s impressive line-up is brimming with talent, including: BB from Supernature Disco, Eves’Drop Collective, Laura Jackson, Ellen Beth Abdi, Muddy Feet and The Taxidermist. This year’s event marks a record number of 36 DJ’s on the bill, offering an eclectic mix of talent that reflects the exciting energy of Manchester’s current scene.
Previous MainRoom shows produced by Laura, have platformed some of the best grassroots club nights around the city, including Do As You Please at Ramona, Sticky Heat in The Yard Mcr and Not Bad For A Girl in YES Basement.
Suffragette City will take over all four floors of the YES venue on Charles St in Manchester, with each floor offering a different vibe, ensuring there’s something for everyone. Whether you're into house, techno, disco, or experimental beats, Suffragette City will deliver a night full of musical magic and unforgettable moments.
Both in-person attendees and online viewers can expect an electrifying celebration, packed with joyful dancing, and an undeniable sense of unity and empowerment – all whilst raising much needed funds for grassroots charities supporting vulnerable women and gender minorities in Greater Manchester.
Laura Graham said: “Manchester is globally renowned for dance music and large-scale club nights, but Suffragette City truly encapsulates the beautiful diversity and vibrancy of our grassroots dancefloors today, which is why StreamGM jumped at the chance to capture this event as part of our MainRoom series.
“Suffragette City highlights how far Manchester’s underground scene has come, and we are beyond thrilled to partner with them to bring this one-of-a-kind celebration to a global audience. This MainRoom episode will take the party beyond YES’s red brick walls and will give a true snapshot of Manchester’s current nightlife, while championing a diverse, all-female and non-binary lineup that challenges the conventional, male-dominated narrative.”
Suffragette City’s organiser & DJ, Ladybeige explained: “I am beyond excited to be part of Suffragette City 2025. This event has always been about celebrating the incredible contributions of women and non-binary individuals in the DJ community, and this year’s lineup is stronger than ever.
“It is a real privilege to be able to showcase the talents of such a diverse group of artists. We’re thrilled to have StreamGM on board to amplify our mission and help us reach a wider, global audience.
“Together, we’ll not only increase awareness of this event but also raise even more funds to support the vital work of our chosen charities. Bring it on!”
Co-organiser Chris Massey echoed these sentiments: “Having been involved with so many events over the years, it is rare to find one that captures the same sense of magic and community that Suffragette City has cultivated.
“The energy at Suffragette City is unmatched—an authentic celebration of music, culture, and activism. This year, with StreamGM as a partner we’ll be able to extend that magic, amplifying the gospel of Suffragette City and our message of support for women and gender minorities far and wide. All the DJ’s have donated their time for free to help us raise funds for local women's charities and on March 8th we will rock the foundations of YES!”
